When you contribute to Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, you teach and inspire children in 140 countries around the world, many of whom have no other access to preschool education. Using the power of Muppets and media, the Workshop educates 120 million kids each year, including:
- children on the street corners of India's poorest neighborhoods, who gather to watch and learn from Galli Galli Sim Sim videos on mobile viewing carts;
- kids in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Kosovo and Northern Ireland who are deeply in need of Sesame Street stories that illustrate mutual understanding;
- military families in the United States who learn to cope with separation; and
- children in Southern Africa who learn lessons of literacy, math and health that are desperately needed to improve their lives.
Sesame Street projects -- including television, print and online materials for kids, educators and parents -- give every child the tools to reach his or her highest potential. With your support we can extend these programs to bring Sesame Street laughter and learning to more children in more countries every day...for another 40 years!
