Join us as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of
Sesame Street with a renewed pledge to champion the potential of every child.

Every day, 365 days a year, 140 countries around the world -- Sesame Street helps children learn.

And it's more than letters and numbers. Sesame Street provides access to preschool education where little exists, confronts the stigma of HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, fosters respect and understanding in areas of longtime conflict, supports girls' education, helps American military families with young children cope with the challenges of deployment, and promotes healthy habits to last a lifetime.

When Sesame Workshop throws a party, children all over the world benefit!

Presenting Partners

Sesame Workshop extends its deepest appreciation to Toys"R"Us, Inc. and Mattel, Inc. for their generous underwriting gifts to this special celebration.

Past Annual Benefit Dinners

6th Annual Benefit Dinner (May 28, 2008)
Sesame Workshop held its sixth annual benefit dinner on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event, hosted by Elmo and CNN's Anderson Cooper, highlighted the Workshop's initiatives in India, home to 128 million children between ages two and six. In 2006, the Workshop created the local version of Sesame Street, Galli Galli Sim Sim, to foster basic life skills and provide educational opportunities where little exist. One out of six children in the world lives in India and the Workshop's local programs and outreach activities continue to make a difference on a scale unique to mass media.

5th Annual Benefit Dinner (May 30, 2007)
Each spring, Sesame Workshop joins with friends and partners to celebrate its work providing educational opportunities to children in the United States and the world over at the Sesame Workshop Annual Benefit Dinner. Read about the event.
